I think that it won't work this way. First of all, it's not just a matter
of italics, but rather of clef shape "asymmetry". It doesn't make sense to
change clef glyph so that its hook will be centered - we should be doing
this the other way round: specify octavation position so that it lines up
with the hook.
Also, other clefs need different corrections.
