Comment #5 on issue 3312 by [email protected]: Patch: Let horizontal-line be a
straight-cut line rather than having rounded edges
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3312
Issue 1787 is now going to be _really_ hard to deal with: here the
position/thickness tradeoff of setstrokeadjust is not going to work either
way. If the bar lines are stroke-adjusted, they won't reliably cover the
ends from the staff lines. Bar lines currently don't have roundings of
their own. I guess the only reasonable way is to give both staff lines as
well as bar lines rounded ends and make them slightly too short: in that
case the outer shape of the staff/barline corner will be hidden in the
transition between two not-quite matching curves.
Either that, or we can't just place final barline and staff lines
independently but instead need to design a graphics routine creating _both_
simultaneously. In that case we can first combine them and then clip the
right border until the barline thickness is correct.
