Pushing this soonish since not having the parallel comparison options makes
a lot of testing here a lot slower. And the code has been exercised quite
a lot (whenever I remember cherry-picking it before running the script) and
it works upwards-compatible: GNU parallel is only used when -p is
explicitly given.
