Regarding comment #8: you need to select the LilyPond project on the
Savannah web site and click some checkbox or whatever for requesting
developer access. Then Graham should be getting a proper request.
Messing up the non-local git requires some determination. Basically,
always check whether your local git is what you think it should be before
pushing, and use the prescribed commands for pushing.
Never ever write just "git push" without further qualification. That
command results in the most absurd (and contorted) default behavior for any
git command I know. It's pretty much guaranteed not to do what you want,
and a wagonload on top.
Other than that, hard to mess up.
