I agree: it's good that you noticed this possible change in the behavior,
and therefore the change that removed the instrumentName setting should
be reverted for safety.
I'll do that revert now. It's definitely in the long-term interest to make
a decision about whether instrumentName should ever, even as a fallback, be
involved with Midi and then pull through with it. But that's a different
issue than this one and requires someone working on it.
And the removal of the instrumentName property should be done in parallel
with code changes removing the dependencies of the equalizer on it or
behaving in a useful manner when it is unset.
