Well, it's somewhat unfortunate that I used this issue when it does not
appear likely that this fix is relevant to it.
I leave the issue status open, but push the patch to staging as
commit 063a1b9e21d8309c4940696e1a341592be40f74a

Remove outdated dependencies on .pfa files, replace with .pfb where
feasible.
This may be related to issue 3674: Multiprocessor builds fail on some
platforms.
