OK, I *think* I've solved it.
The problem appears to be that I'm determining if a beam is kneed simply by
reading the value of Beam.knee. Instead, it appears that I need to call
Beam::is_knee.
I'll test this a bit more, and if all goes well I'll have a patch up in a
few days.
