Sorry for the confusion: of course it's not \q but q. Looking in
Documentation/notation with 'git grep -n "keyword"' I found these entries:
fretted-strings.itely:261:@cindex Chord, repetition
simultaneous.itely:155:@cindex Chord, repetition
fretted-strings.itely:262:@cindex repetition, using @code{q}
simultaneous.itely:156:@cindex repetition, using @code{q}
We need one listed under Q.
Also, I would change Chord to chord.
