This is definitely related to issue 2252 - excess space after second group
is caused by the same thing (i.e. property value being carried on from
previous note).
As for the difference in spacing of the first and last group, it seems that
the initial value for spacing-increment is 0 (i have no idea where this
comes from), and the revert doesn't bring back this value, but rather
brings back the default value (1.2). Very strange.
