Well, if stuff doesn't verify, it doesn't verify. Remaining silent is not
much of an option here: we want to leave closed issues in a consistent
state. If someone searches for the commit id of some commit in master and
it is not to be found in the issue tracker because the developer got it
wrong, it may be a nuisance to find later.
