The specifics are that for some reason I cannot fathom the patch for issue
4360 appears make those errors (which crop up from time to time under
semi-random circumstances even without a solid underlying cause) appear
much more often randomly.
While I have no idea about the reason for this and am working on a
debugging framework that will get rid of this problem for good, the current
state (which should have been an improvement) is a disruption.
So I'll revert that patch and try making some other code not depend on it
and then will reintroduce it (maybe) once I have the changes in smob
protection and its debugging workable.
You might want to retest in a few hours (once the revert is in master) the
patches which have shown these excessive programming errors.
