Why? It passes all tests IIRC.
I am not a programmer and can only go on what the discussion 'looks
like' to me when I go through the list.
I think you refer to the comments David made, but as he mentioned,
his proposals claim for separate issues (namely the size of parentheses
in TabStaff and FiguredBass).
I always defer to the developers' though, so if you think I have made a
mistake or inferred the thread incorrectly, then set it to 'countdown'
(with a comment in the tracker reflecting my error) and that will be fine.
