New issue 4502 by [email protected]: Improve stencil-whiteout-outline

Karol Majewski reported two cases with markup where the newly introduced
stencil-whiteout-outline function (as of issue 4418) yields quite
inacceptable results. There are small gaps in the whiteout area, or the
outline will be ragged.
As David Kastrup pointed out, it would be nice to “have the engineering
chops for a smooth outline (which will more likely than not require digging
around in the C++ code to get a reasonable solution)”. For image examples,
