I like the overall simplicity of Pierre's proposal and its design including the 
basic frontal asymmetry.  However, in the proposed form it is visually 
imbalanced left/right exactly because the outline is perfectly symmetrical.  I 
think you'll need to haul the lower part of the front leaf somewhat to the left 
in order to achieve "optical correction".

This would violate the mathematical correctness for a better optical balance, 
sacrificing actual rigidness to apparent balance in a manner LilyPond, like 
good typesetters, does also while arranging notes.  The imbalance is 
particularly apparent in small print, like the proposed footline, where I 
otherwise very much appreciate the straightforward clarity and iconic 
unclutteredness of the proposal.
