By following the rules given at
http://lilypond.org/development/Documentation/user/out-www/lilypond/Point-and-click.html#Point%20and%20click
it was found that Point-and-Click -feature works with xdvi (22.58)!
However, xdvi or dvips cannot find the fonts. A beginning of a xdvi-trace:

Also dvips lacks the fonts needed by LilyPond. How could they be found?
I already tested that even in a long multi-"\score{}" the
line-position could be found.
