Indeed, it would be nice to have the fresh 1.8.1 rpm-packages available
also for Mandrake.

Looks like the directory here for some reason is wrong. I had the same
error some time ago, but one day it was just disappeared.

A check

  $ locate library.a
  ~/rpm/BUILD/lilypond-1.8.0/flower/out/library.a
  ~/lilypond/flower/out/library.a

shows that these files should be in a different directory (without `-', at
least), which is propably present only during compiling.

Maybe there is already a workaround, which made the problem disappear
from me. After downloading 1.8.1, it was possible to make the rpms, with
the spec-file which is included in the source-file.
