It's the library included in the LilyPond distro, available in
...lilypond/current/python/
i.e. the same one that's used in midi2ly.
Clarification: If you set PYTHONPATH to
python/out/ in your build directory structure or
.../usr/lib/lilypond/current/python/
in the installation directory structure.
