Yes, and it was fully automagical too. Run GUB on x64, and an x64->ix86
cross compiler would gets built for building the odd broken packages
such as nsis at that time.
It may be that this feature has bitrotten, but it is called
gub/cross.py: setup_linux_x86 ()
and you can see its use in
gub/specs/nsis.py : Nsis::__init__ ():
...
if settings.build_architecture.startswith ('x86_64-linux'):
from gub import cross
cross.setup_linux_x86 (self)
So, try latest netpbm, if not file a report there and use the 32 bit workaround.
