Since noone has objected I'm going to do this soon.
BTW, the same seems to be true for the `texstr' backend. I know, I
know, it was me who insisted on having this, but now lilypond uses the
Pango interface which basically collides with TeX support. Again, if
noone objects, I'll remove this too.
