I just saw the git commit to update input/lsr/tick-bar-lines.ly
I suppose it would be easier / better to use
\set Score.defaultBarType = "'"
globally instead of explicit \bar "'" for each barline...
I.e.
{
\set Score.defaultBarType = "'"
c'4 d' e' f'
g'4 f' e' d'
c'4 d' e' f'

\bar "|."
}
