Modulo the path issues (think drive letters and backslashes) and the inability of some Windows editors to handle LF-only line endings correctly, Git on Windows should behave exactly as Git on Linux. At least we try very hard to make it so. The only difference is speed, but that is due to Windows and cannot be helped. Git on Windows still kicks subversion's rear end in term of speed.
