No, OSX is UNIX + "Apple's damn desktop manager TM", which hides UNIX very
nicely, but also has its own strange configuration stuff that I've never
spent the time to figure out.

Yes, but this time I was reading the wiki that Patrick pointed me to, and I
had no idea of how to get from there to AU 3.2.2.

And even having looked at all of AU 3.2.2, I have no idea how to get the
fonts installed so Inkscape can use them.

I run lilypond from the command line daily, and I run Inkscape, but Inkscape
appears not to know about lilypond's fonts, so I still don't know how to get
a good SVG visible in Inkscape.

So, although I appreciate cheeky comments as much as anybody, and maybe more
than most, this time I had a *real* question, and I still don't know how to
go about getting the answer. I guess I'll hit the Inkscape site and see if
I can figure something out.

Carl
