dear list,

quite often i am running into a situation like

<<some other bars of music>> c4^"longish playing indication ma non troppo" d2.

so that if the bar, which would only take little space with its only two notes, appears towards the end of a line, the text line will run off the right end of the staff, and often out of the paper itself.
of course i can insert manual \break commands.
but are there (yet?) automatic solutions like possibly one or more of the following?:

a) automatic stretching of the bar up to the length of the markup, thus possibly trigerring a line break
b) automatic line break before that bar
c) before applying a) or b) automatic line wrapping of the markup to a defined standard length (if containing appropiate spaces)

searching the manual only revealed the option of having the second note shifted beyond the space used by the markup above the first, which in my case gives ugly results...

thank you in advance for any help!
