I just had a quick glance at your mails, and as Neil recognized, I'm still waiting for a response on my latest patch to fix this issue. I'm quite satisfied with the solution w.r.t. centering headers, but there's still room left for further investigation of fill-line, as I described in the comments to the patch Neil quoted.

Unfortunately, I most probably won't have any spare minute until Aug 09 to care about this piece of code (there's a kind of festival taking place in my hometown which I help to manage), but feel free to discuss my code and possible extensions. I'll have a look at it next week.
