Translations and some doc updates could also benefit of (2), isn't it? Right now it happens that some doc are not fully translated for a stable release. Then we should wait for a new stable release to have the new translations available, but right now stable release does not appear often (more than 15 month between 2.12.3 and upcoming-2.14).
