One obvious and fairly common situation is when there are several verses set beneath a melody line, but with different melismata. In this situation is is far easier to disable the automatic detection of melismata and indicate them in the lyrics with "_". That will still work fine, AFAIUI, but equally the extender lines will differ between the verses and will also need to be indicated manually. Or have I misunderstood something? I attach a recent example - very Christmassy! How would this be coded in future? Trevor
