I wonder if above refspec is correct. I would expect it to be shorter
and without the origin domain/repository name, i.e. just
refs/heads/stable/2.20
But I'm just guessing...
Phil, what's the output of these two commands?
cd /home/gub/NewGub/gub/downloads/lilypond/git
git status
cat .git/refs/heads/stable/2.20
Forget it... I see now that it's a bare repository.
Interistingly, master is checked out, even if I launched 'make
LILYPOND_BRANCH=stable/2.20 lilypond':
$ cd downloads/lilypond/git
$ git branch -a
git.sv.gnu.org/lilypond.git/stable/2.20
* master
$ cat HEAD
ref: refs/heads/master
$ cat FETCH_HEAD
<committish> branch 'stable/2.20' of git://git.sv.gnu.org/lilypond
This error comes up when you run the following command?
make LILYPOND_BRANCH=stable/2.20 lilypond
I'm trying again to run GUB, this time on Ubuntu 14.04 virtualized
inside VirtualBox. 'make bootstrap' worked successfully (as anywhere
else). Let's see what happens with above 'make lilypond' command...
I'm not optimistic, of course.
I launched it more than one hour ago and it's still running... keep
fingers crossed.
