Hi Dan, > If anyone has a more compelling case, I would like to hear it.
I’m a modern composer. I want to write a four-measure piece for four instruments: Instrument 1: plays mm1-3 in tempo, then repeats m4 until the others catch up; Instrument 2: plays mm1-2 in tempo, then repeats m3 until Intruments 3&4 catch up, then plays m4 with everyone Instrument 3: plays m1 in tempo, then repeats m2 until Instrument 4 catches up, then plays m3-4 with everyone Instrument 4: repeats m1 until they feel like going on, then plays m2-4 with everyone. How would you suggest handling that in a single score? Thanks, Kieren. ________________________________ Kieren MacMillan, composer (he/him/his) ‣ website: www.kierenmacmillan.info ‣ email: [email protected]
