Side anecdote : Back in college, the standard practice (in pop music😱) was to scotch tape the whole score in one linear horizontal reading. 1|2|3|4|5|6 and you would let the part hang from both sides of the music stand, tossing it from side to side hoping it would not drag itself off the stand. -- Pierre-Luc Gauthier
