Thanks, this solved the problem! I guess I never put 2 + 2 together, since I think of the slash as a chord repetition, not a no-chord. But, of course, as the old approach also uses rests to accomplish this, we are already in non-semantic land. I just never thought about the rests as no-chord. Cheers, Elaine
