Hi Mats, Reading Stan’s experience, and assuming that you are using 
Frescobaldi, I am wondering: might it be possible that somehow the file 
permissions for LilyPond didn’t get updated properly? I might try to remove 
LilyPond 24.4 from the list of “LilyPond versions to use” in the Preferences 
menu, then download LilyPond anew from “+ Add…” -> 2.24.4 (latest stable). 

Apologies if that doesn’t help you; I myself have been avoiding to upgrade my 
OS because I have some old Finale files that I would benefit from having access 
to…
