Try
\property Score.currentBarNumber = #25

"Regression Test" document on the web page.
The source for all those examples and many more
can be found in input/regression/ and input/test/.
(You can find these directories in the source code
tree if you built Lilypond yourself or somewhere
below /usr/share/doc/lilypond/ if you installed
from RPM or .dpkg, I think).
