Yes, ok. > I have also tried rerunning setup and selecting 'reinstall' on every > package, but the problem remains the same. > > I've included 'setup.log' and 'setup.log.full' from my download-directory, > hopefully this will make things clearer. Yes it does. Look: cat setup.log| grep '\.tar' | sed -e 's@.*/@@' ash-20020131-1.tar.bz2 bash-2.05a-3.tar.bz2 bzip2-1.0.2-1.tar.bz2 cygwin-1.3.10-1.tar.bz2 ed-0.2-1.tar.bz2 foo-1.0-1.tar.bz2 gawk-3.0.4-1.tar.gz gs-6.50-3.tar.bz2 gsview-3.6-2.tar.bz2 gzip-1.3.2-1.tar.bz2 jpeg-6b-7.tar.bz2 less-374-1.tar.bz2 libncurses6-5.2-8.tar.bz2 libpng-1.0.13-1.tar.bz2 libpng10-1.0.13-1.tar.bz2 lilypond-1.4.12.jcn5-1.tar.bz2 ncurses-5.2-8.tar.bz2 openssl-0.9.6c-3.tar.bz2 python-2.2-1.tar.bz2 termcap-20020403-1.tar.bz2 tetex-beta-20001218-4.tar.bz2 texmf-tiny-20000804-2.tar.bz2 textutils-2.0.21-1.tar.bz2 tiff-3.5.6beta-2.tar.gz zlib-1.1.4-1.tar.bz2 for some reason, the packages: fileutils, guile, man, sed, sh-utils and tar did not get installed. You can rerun setup.exe and select them by hand; but in fact, setup.exe should select all new packages by fefault. I don't understand what went wrong here.
