Thank you for answering. The weird beaming is because I am trying to reproduce a Scriabin piano prelude (op 11, no 1) using LilyPond. So I guess that, yes, I need to have the beaming... maybe there is a way to force a linebreak?
Scriabin seems to be a good stress test for LilyPond ;-)
