A similar problem was reported here some month ago and after sending the question to the Cygwin mailing list, the solution was to: - rerun setup.exe and select the package 'rebase' - Click on the Cygwin icon to start a cygwin command window - Type the command 'rebaseall' Then, hopefully, everything should work again. I don't know any details, see http://sources.redhat.com/ml/cygwin/2004-03/msg00786.html for some more info.
