Just as you can let an ordinary voice of music pass between different staves (automatically or manually determined), you can do the same to a voice of cue notes. See http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.2/Documentation/user/out-www/lilypond/Automatic-staff-changes.html#Automatic%20staff%20changes and http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.2/Documentation/user/out-www/lilypond/Manual-staff-switches.html#Manual%20staff%20switches

Hi,
I am currently typesetting a piece for SATB. Each voice (S,A,T,B) consists a separate staff with accompanying lyrics.
In the tenor and bass staff some cue notes are shown which are actually played by an organ. So the cue notes are kneed over those two staffs.
Is this possible with lily? And if this is possible, how should I do that?
