I have the following spanner text.
\override Voice.TextSpanner #'edge-text =
#(cons
"rit."
(markup (#:upright #:bold "meno mosso,") (#:tiny #:note "4" 0.7) "= 96")
)
It will make a tempo mark at the end of the spanner. The problem is that the end-text is centered with the spanner, and because of the stem of the note, it is not appropriate, because the "meno mosso" should be centered, not the whole markup.
