With the backquotes the display of the new language-pitch-names ends like this: (lak . #<Pitch ais >) (lakk . #<Pitch aisis >) (sibb . #<Pitch beses >) (sib . #<Pitch bes >) (si . #<Pitch b >) (sik . #<Pitch bis >) (sikk . #<Pitch bisis >) (i unquote (ly:make-pitch 8 0 0)) (o unquote (ly:make-pitch 8 0 1)))) you can see that lily does not apply the make-pitch to my new notes
