Okay. I just found \stemDown, which is obviously better than this: > \override Beam #'dir-function = #beam-always-down
So disregard that. But my other question is: is there a way to have include files or something like that? I have a bunch of macros to reuse a lot, and it seems like a bad idea to have them in each individual file, especially if I'm using lilypond-book.
