On the accordion the recommended notation to indicate a chord is writing in the bass staff a *single* note between d' and d and writing on top of them 'M' for major, 'm' for minor etc.
Doing this with lilypond is easy but the generated midi file will contain single notes and not chords. How can I make lilypond display single note in the score but generate chords in the midi file? Thank you, g.
