The \mergeSkips function was designed to do that: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/cgi-bin/namazu.cgi?query=mergeskips&submit=Search&idxname=lilypond-user But on my quick test, it doesn’t seem to work on your file. Don’t have time to figure it out now, but maybe this will point you in the right direction. Hope this helps!
