Hello Craig,

You can either add the path to the lilypond executable in your environment:

        PATH=/Applications/LilyPond.app/Contents/Resources/bin:"${PATH}"

or define an alias:

        alias 
lilypond=/Applications/LilyPond.app/Contents/Resources/bin/lilypond

This can be placed in (${HOME}/.bashrc) typically.
