It _is_ a criticism which already came to my mind :) To shanghai a grob for a purpose it wasn't made for, will most likely cause troubles somewhere. Likely better to create a new grob for piano-hand-indicator and while on it a barre-indicator for guitar. Probably not that trivial, in any case very time consuming, I suppose.
