lilypond Pukes Thanks to Fink/TeTeX

Last night I called the routine fink selfupdate; fink update-all . tetex-base had troubles updating, so fink removed it completely (?). This was clearly a common problem according to various fink lists. Today tetex-base installed fine following a fresh selfupdate/update-all.

lilypond 2.4.2 has stopped working, though. In various files I've tested, lilypond chokes at the same point:

Preprocessing graphical objects...
Calculating line breaks...
warning: lily-guile: can't find "latin1.enc"

I've talked to another fink/lily 2.5.11 user who has had this same problem (I think). What now?
