I've created https://gitlab.com/lilypond/lilypond/-/issues/6254 for this. For now use the older syntax: Not \repeat volta 2 { ... \alternative { { ... } { ... } } } but \repeat volta 2 { ... } \alternative { { ... } { ... } } Cheers, Harm
