I am un Linux Ubuntu, and could no longer get MIDI playback to work.
When starting Qsynth before Frescobaldi, it works.
Simple and beautiful, just need to know!
Thanks for the trick.

Could we suggest to add a setting in Frescobaldi
to automatically open Qsynth??

Never needed to use Musecore once I found Frescobaldi. It is IMO one of the best computer applications I've ever used. Perfectly suited for it's purpose.
