Well, my first reaction was point to https://extending-lilypond.readthedocs.io/en/latest/intro.html#overview-of-lilypond-s-inner-workings-and-how-you-might-hook-in-them but that is the document that you are already reading. Maybe you can be more precise as to what kind of info you'd like? I know you said you didn't really know what you wanted, but I don't know either ... ;-) Cheers, Jean
