Dear Federico and the entire Frescobaldi development team, I would like to thank you all so much for all your work. I downloaded 4.0.1 on my MacOS, and I am so happy to see that the “crash upon exit” error is gone. I feel that compared to 3.3.0, the version is quicker to run, thanks to the ability to click the application and run directly, without having to do the workaround: https://github.com/frescobaldi/frescobaldi/issues/1793
I thought it would be wise to point out that at least on my computer, 4.0.1 could not find the Ghostscript out of the LilyPond that has been installed via Homebrew, resulting in PDF not being compiled. However, following the protocol described here (https://lilypond.org/doc/v2.24/Documentation/learning/graphical-setup-under-macos.html), it now works perfectly.
