Hi Paul,
The “W” in “MWE” stands for “working”… ;)
I now remember that but I don't a better way to ask the question.
The snippet you sent does not compile, so I can’t see the exact problem you’re
trying to fix.
Maybe this helps?
\version "2.25.24"
\fixed c' {
\set Score.rehearsalMarkFormatter = #format-mark-box-barnumbers
\mark \default
\tweak X-offset 6.5 \tempo \markup Allegro
a1 b c
}
That's a variation on what I have been doing with \hspace.
\tempo \markup{ \hspace #1 Allegro}
As far as I can see the number given to \tweak or \hspace is different
for different sizes (number of digits). I was hoping that putting the
\mark \default in the \tempo markup would take up as much space as it
needed.
I realized that during this discussion that my attempt to solve this may
not leave the rehearsal mark positioned well enough. I will now try to
see your variation does a better alignment job.
Thank you,
Paul
