My approach has been to put the score in work_name.ly, and then I'll put
each part in its own file: flute.ly, viola.ly, etc.. When I write an
accordion with voice part for myself, I'll go so far as: piece.ly, rh.ly,
lh.ly, and lyrics.ly.
This keeps each input file smaller and makes it easier to find what I
want to work on for editing. OTOH, it does multiply input files. I
suppose that's a question of where you find the complexity more
beneficial vs. confusing and there's no clear right way to do things.
